He knows how to build confidence, discipline, and skill at the same time without making it feel forced or overly intense.
What stands out most is that he understands kids. He meets them where they are, keeps them engaged, and somehow gets them excited to work hard and improve. You can tell this is more than just a job to him. The patience, communication, and positive energy he brings to every session make a huge difference.
The progress in both skill and confidence has been incredible to watch. The environment is supportive, motivating, and extremely well run. If you’re looking for a swim program where coaches truly care about developing kids both in and out of the pool, Hudson Valley Swim Newburgh is top tier. HIGHLY recommend.

We have been with HV Swim for over 3 years, both or my kids 7yo and 8yo have refined their skills so much since our first class till today.... read more We have had Sean as our lead coach and we could not be happier. He has that perfect balance between teaching technique with great structure and being great with kids of all ages.
Swimming is a life skill and we are grateful to have found HV swim.

I understand that Joan had no control of people quit.(it just little confuse for Avery )

Our two younger sons have benefited immensely from their work with Coach Caryn who brings an amazing ability to balance fun and learning. Our older son has autism and works privately with Mr. Sean who does an amazing job adapting the lessons to ensure our son’s development as a swimmer.
